Dr Janet van der Linden
Janet is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computing and head of the Pervasive Interaction Lab.
Her research focuses on the use of novel wearable technologies and a key question is how people can become more aware of their posture through such technologies, and how to give feedback to improve their movements or posture. Her research approach focuses on ‘in the wild studies’ with different groups of users, including professional violin players, young children and blind and sighted members of an audience in an immersive theatre.
