Information security management underpins the future of IT governance and e-commerce, the commercial viability and profitability of enterprises of all sizes, and the effectiveness of public sector organisations. M886 presents the topic from various perspectives. It provides an overview of the field of information security and a detailed, practical understanding of selected aspects of it including: IT governance; risk analysis and management; information security. It is relevant to students working in any organisation concerned, directly or indirectly, with information security. Completing the course will give you the knowledge and skills required to develop, and plan the implementation of, an organisation’s information security management policy.
